Enfield Town v Waltham Forest

Today finds me at Enfield Town v Waltham Forest at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium - Donkey Lane. Rymans League Division 1 (North).

I enjoyed my visit to Enfield's new home with its art-deco stand, come club bar, come club shop - all in one splendid building.

An athletics track surrounds the pitch and there is metal covered standing behind both goals and opposite the main stand.

The ground can be quite tricky to find as it is down a lane direct behind a large pub.

This was the proverbial game of two halves the Stags (Waltham Forest) ran up a 2-0 lead by half time.

One of which was a penalty which took an eternity to take.
Half time 0-2

In the secondhalf the Townies (Enfield Town)  came storming out of the blocks scoring 4 goals.

Waltham pulled a goal back to keep the match competitive until the end.

Final score:  Enfield 4 - Waltham Forest 3

Enfield's goals scored by Kirby, Wallace, Moore and Hope.

Waltham's Goals by Dagher, Hammond and Bonnett.

All grounds have  now been visited in the Rymans League.

Attendance 245

Programme very good
Caravan on hand selling burgers etc.
